A Magical Evening at The Little Fox: Alex and Matt's Wedding Reception

July 8th, 2023

I had the pleasure of working with Matt Pate as a second shooter, and capturing Alex's and Matt's (different Matt) special day at 'The Little Fox', a charming venue situated between Neston and Thornton Hough on the Wirral.

Now, let's talk about the venue, 'The Little Fox'. It's one of those places that surprises and delights you. Nestled just outside Thornton Hough and a stone's throw from Neston, The Little Fox is perfect for an intimate wedding reception, accommodating up to 50 guests comfortably. This allows for a more personal, close-knit celebration that I absolutely love capturing through my lens. The smaller guest count doesn't mean you compromise on space though. The venue features a large outdoor beer garden, equipped with stylish teak furniture - a perfect setting for charming group shots and candid moments.

The beautiful garden provides a picturesque backdrop for reception photos. The blend of greenery and flowers add a touch of nature's elegance to the wedding photographs.

A wedding isn't complete without a great bar and The Little Fox doesn't disappoint. Their well-stocked bar ensures that the drinks are flowing, allowing me to capture cheerful toasts and lively celebrations. The staff are always a pleasure to work with, contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the venue.

No review would be complete without mentioning the food. The Little Fox offers high-quality catering, with options ranging from canapés and cocktails to sit down meals. This variety not only caters to different tastes but also a range of budgets.

'The Little Fox' provided the perfect backdrop for Alex and Matt's wedding, enhancing the universal appeal of their love story.

But, the highlight of the day? That's a tough one to pinpoint as there were so many wonderful moments. However, if I had to choose, the confetti exit, the sparkler exit, and the dancing would definitely top the list. The joyous expressions of the couple and their guests under a rain of confetti, the romantic sparkler exit, and the fun-filled dancing brought an engaging and vibrant dynamic to the day. It was natural, relaxed and simply fun - just like my style of photography!

I must say, Alex and Matt's wedding was a testament to the genuine, informal, and relaxed style of photography I aim to achieve. There's something magical about capturing the true essence of a couple on their special day. And this wedding was no exception - it was a day filled with love, laughter and countless memories that I was fortunate enough to capture.

So, here's to Alex and Matt, to their love story, and to the magical day at 'The Little Fox' that I was privileged to be a part of.
