Mythe Barn Wedding Venue in Atherstone, Warwickshire is a venue that offers couples great flexibility and some stunning backdrops for their big day.

One of the best things about Mythe Barn Wedding Venue is the choice of ceremony location. You can either choose the state-of-the-art oak-beamed barn or the venue's beautiful gardens. The barn is an impressive architectural design with huge floor o eves windows bathing the couple and congregation in natural light and creating a wonderful backdrop for those once-in-a-lifetime wedding shots. If you prefer a more natural setting, the beautifully landscaped gardens provide a breath-taking outdoor space for your ceremony, allowing you to tie the knot with gorgeous Warwickshire countryside as your backdrop.

Following the ceremony, the wedding breakfast is held in 'The Grain Barn'. This is no ordinary barn; it's a contemporary structure with more huge, floor-to-ceiling windows. These allow for an abundance of natural light to flood the room while also offering those sweeping countryside views. The room is spacious enough to accommodate up to 150 guests, making it perfect for both intimate and grand celebrations.

Last but not least, Mythe Barn offers a generously apportioned bridal party getting-ready suite. It's an ideal space for those precious pre-wedding moments with your bridal party. The room is large and comfortable, making it perfect for your make-up artists and hairstylists to work their magic.

What really made this wedding truly special were Charlie and Alex themselves. Their infectious laughter, sense of fun and relaxed approach made the whole wedding such a joy to photograph. Lucy, the florist, created beautiful arrangements that added just the right touch of elegance and charm. Beth Bakes delivered a cake that was not only delicious but also a visual delight. The soulful singing by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/georgiaroeuk" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@georgiaroeuk</a> set the perfect ambiance, and Julie from <a href="https://www.instagram.com/qualityweddingandpartyhire" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@qualityweddingandpartyhire</a> adorned the venue beautifully.

A big thank you to the helpful and friendly staff at Mythe Barn, who ensured that everything ran smoothly. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the day.

The Venue: Buntingsdale Hall, Market Drayton. Shropshire

<a href="https://www.instagram.com/buntingsdale_hall" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Buntingsdale Hall</a> is a 300-year-old manor house that's been lovingly preserved, offering an idyllic setting for a wedding. With its capacity to comfortably seat 100 guests, it's perfect for those intimate weddings, where each guest is someone special to the bride and groom.
&nbsp;
One of the standout features of this venue are the large gardens. These offer not just a beautiful backdrop for your wedding photos but a space for your guests to mingle, enjoy the scenery and maybe even a game of croquet. I've always found that these gardens add an extra dimension to the weddings I've photographed here.
&nbsp;
Speaking of scenery, the views of Shropshire from the venue are breathtaking. There's something remarkably soothing about the rolling countryside and it provides a serene setting for a wedding.

The Hall itself is impressive, boasting beautiful period features. The grand staircase is a particular favourite of mine. It provides a stunning backdrop for the bride's entrance or the couple's first pictures as newlyweds.

With many large rooms, the venue can easily accommodate different aspects of your wedding - canap&eacute;s, cocktails, the meal, the dancing. Each room has its own unique character, thanks to the large, west facing windows overlooking the sweeping lawns. These windows let in beautiful, soft light that any photographer will tell you makes for some fantastic photos.
&nbsp;
The venue operates on a self-catering basis, giving you the flexibility to decide on the menu, from the canapes to the main meal to the late-night snacks. This means you can tailor your wedding to your exact tastes and ensure that your guests have a meal to remember.

Following a lively service at Catholic Church of Saint Thomas Aquinas and Saint Stephen Harding, Beth and Andy arrive in style at Buntingsdale Hall.

The couple's character shone through in every aspect of their day, from their heartfelt vows to their floor-filling dance routines. I strive to capture these genuine, unscripted moments. It's these snapshots of authenticity that truly encapsulate the spirit of a wedding day. As the night drew in, the energy didn't falter. The dancing, laughter, and merrymaking continued, the joyous atmosphere tangible.

In my line of work, it's not just about documenting the day; it's about capturing the essence of the couple. And in the case of Beth and Andy, their love story was nothing short of captivating. I'm excited to share with you the beautiful story of Sophie and Yentl's wedding* day at the magnificent High Grosvenor House just outside Bridgnorth. As a photographer specialising in capturing timeless moments, I was thrilled to be a part of their special day.

The Venue: High Grosvenor House wedding venue

<a title="Link to High Grosvenor House website" href="https://highgrosvenor.co.uk/wedding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">High Grosvenor House</a>, is a stunning wedding venue located just outside Bridgnorth. This 15th Century Tudor house is set amidst the rolling Shropshire countryside, offering a picturesque backdrop for any wedding. &nbsp;
There were a number of reasons why Sophie and Yentl chose High Grosvenor House.
&nbsp;
Firstly, the venue offers exclusive use of the property for your wedding day, from morning until the next day [and in some cases, as with Sophie and Yentl from the day before to the day after - as long as it's not already booked!]. This means you and your guests can enjoy the wedding celebration without any interruptions. It's like having your own private country house for a day!
&nbsp;
Secondly, High Grosvenor House offers accommodation for friends and family. This is a great feature, especially for those weddings where guests are travelling from afar. It's nice to know that after a day filled with joy and celebration, you and your loved ones can retreat to comforting and homely accommodation without the worry of travel.

For Sophie and Yentl the fact that the venue comfortably seats 50 people for a wedding breakfast and can hold up to 100 for an evening reception made High Grosvenor House the perfect choice for both the intimate wedding breakfast and the larger wedding reception in the evening.
&nbsp;
A unique feature of the High Grosvenor House is that it's a pet-friendly venue. This means that your furry friends can be part of your special day. As a photographer, I find that pets often bring a fun and playful energy to the wedding, providing some great photo opportunities. This was no exception for Sophie and Yentl's day as they brought their two lovely dogs with them for several photo opps!

&nbsp;
The day started off with clear blue skies overhead, a perfect day for a wedding. The venue, High Grosvenor House, was a sight to behold, nestled in the rolling Shropshire countryside and just outside the pretty town of Bridgnorth. The 15th century Tudor property exuded an old-world charm and coupled with the wonderful cherry trees in full blossom, was nothing short of breathtaking. It was the perfect backdrop for a wedding that was intimate yet grand.
&nbsp;
On hand with their expert skills for makeup and hair were Colette Bailey (from <a title="Link to CNB Makeup on Instagram" href="https://www.instagram.com/colettebaileyfreelancemua/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNB Makeup</a>) and Ashley (from <a title="Link to Studio 13, Shifnal on Instagram" href="https://www.instagram.com/studio_13_shifnal/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Studio 13, Shifnal</a>), respectively; and then it was time for Sophie to put on her amazing wedding dress from <a title="Link to BridesView instagram profile" href="https://www.instagram.com/brides_view" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Brides View</a>, Shifnal meticulously fitted by Lydia.

Meanwhile the groom and groomsmen made the most of the Tudor buildings and the fantastic tree-lined drive for a few photos.

Love and emotion weaved itself into the pre-ceremony father's first look and ceremony.

The cherry blossom trees around the venue were in full bloom, allowing me to capture some truly magical moments. Sophie, looking radiant in her wedding gown, and Yentl, every bit the handsome groom, under the cascading pink flowers was a sight that took my breath away. The blossoming cherry trees, combined with the beautiful weather, set a romantic and picturesque scene for the couple's commitments.

The staff at High Grosvenor House were exceptional, ensuring everything ran smoothly from the ceremony to the reception. Their professionalism and attention to detail did not go unnoticed, adding to the overall excellence of the day.
&nbsp;
And of course, the food! The wedding feast was a gastronomic delight, with the chefs at High Grosvenor House pulling out all the stops to present their bride and groom's bespoke choices, tailoring to all tastes and dietry needs. Thereby ensuring a truly memorable dining experience for the wedding guests.

Talking about food: that wedding cake! Lovingly prepared by <a title="Link to The Cake Room Bridgnorth Instagram profile" href="https://www.instagram.com/thecakeroombridgnorth/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Cake Room, Bridgnorth</a>, a lemon sponge filled with lemon curd and lemon buttercream. Covered in vanilla buttercream. 100(!) cupcakes are a mix of vanilla, raspberry and white chocolate. Themed with accents of cherry-blossom pink. Completed with stunning flowers from <a title="Link to Petals by Sarah Louise profile on Instagram" href="https://www.instagram.com/petalsbysarahlouise/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Petals by Sarah Louise</a> - who also supplied the rest of the flower decorations for the wedding day.

But, what truly made this day special was the warm and loving vibes radiating from the couple and their family and friends. The love, joy, and happiness were palpable throughout the day and it was an absolute joy to capture special and candid moments.

In my journey as a photographer, I've been lucky to witness many beautiful weddings. But the wedding of Sophie and Yentl, with its perfect blend of natural beauty, loving family and friends, fantastic food, and the extraordinary staff at High Grosvenor House, was one that will remain etched in my memory for a long time.

Being a part of this beautiful day and having the opportunity to capture these timeless moments was truly an honour. As I continue to traverse the length and breadth of the UK and beyond, photographing weddings, engagements, and events, I look forward to many more such experiences. From the moment I arrived to cover bridal preparations, right through to the first dance, I was made to feel like part of the family. The friendly staff at Hadley Park House are fabulous and ensured everything ran smoothly and that everyone felt welcomed and comfortable. A big thanks to them all!

Shell and Brett's nearest and dearest were also so welcoming, their warmth and friendliness which added to the overall joy of the day.

Now, let's talk about the aesthetics of the day. The beautiful blooms added an elegant and vibrant touch to the day, creating a romantic ambiance that was just perfect for a wedding.

The beauty didn't stop at the flowers though. Shell looked absolutely stunning, with her makeup done by <a title="CNB Makeup Facebook link" href="https://www.facebook.com/cnbmakeuptelford/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CNB Makeup</a> (Instagram: <a title="Colette Bailey Instagram page" href="https://www.instagram.com/colettebaileyfreelancemua/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@ColetteBaileyFreelanceMUA</a>) and her hair skillfully styled by <a title="Lizzie Connelly Hair Facebook link" href="https://www.facebook.com/HairbyLizzieconnelly/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lizzie Connelly Hair</a> (Instragram: <a title="Lizzie Connelly Hair Instagram link" href="https://www.instagram.com/lizzieconnellyhair/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@LizzieConnellyHair</a>). Their expertise and artistic touch truly brought out Shell's natural beauty, making her shine even brighter on her special day.

The beauty was also in the details of the venue - the twinkling Christmas lights, the cosy lounge areas and the festive decorations, all of which added a touch of magic.

The best part? Seeing Shell and Brett's faces light up as they celebrated their love surrounded by family and friends. &nbsp;

The celebration was kept lively and fun thanks to the excellent DJ'ing by <a title="DJ Dean Knight Facebook link" href="https://www.facebook.com/DJDeanKnight/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DJ Dean Knight</a> (Instagram: <a title="DJ Dean Knight Instagram link" href="https://www.instagram.com/djdeanknight/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@DJDeanKnight</a>). His music selection had everyone up on their feet, dancing and enjoying the night away.

Another amazing convenience that shouldn't go unnoticed is that the venue offers site exclusive use from midday of the wedding day. This gives you the freedom to prepare and set up without any disturbances or time constraints. Also, the venue provides onsite accommodation for 40 guests which makes it incredibly convenient for your loved ones who've travelled far and wide to celebrate with you.

What truly sets the Wroxeter Hotel apart are its iconic tipis. These offer a distinctive and fun twist to a traditional wedding setting. They offer the perfect alternative should the weather change and the outdoor ceremony is no longer feasable. One of the many highlights of the venue are its lovely gardens. The flowered spaces have been beautifully curated and are perfect for capturing natural and relaxed photos, with the backdrop of the Wrekin offering a unique and breathtaking setting. The gardens also offer the perfect setting for outdoor ceremonies, creating a serene and idyllic atmosphere for your special day.

Added to this setting on Julie and Darren's wedding day was the bull! Yes, you read that right, a bull! It was a part of the countryside charm and an unexpected guest that contributed to some fun and memorable pictures.

But I must say, capturing Julie and Darren in the stunning backdrop of the gorgeous gardens, with the magnificent Tipis in the backdrop, was a moment that I will always remember.

Nick took the most amazing photos at our wedding - both natural ones of people having a nice time and a few formal ones. Nick was great at putting people at ease. The range of photos Nick took was fab. From the pre-wedding bride photos to the fun dancing ones. Nick went way beyond our expectations including staying to the end to capture some epic firework photos. He's a brilliant wedding photographer and we would highly recommend him to everyone.
